I find it heart-warming to think that Christians can continue to influence the course of political life on the global stage.

ReplyDeleteThere is a lot that passes for ‘Christian’ that is nothing of the kind. I have mentioned before that Theresa May has publically endorsed Sharia law. That such courts exist at all in Britain is appalling, and her supportive comments are nothing less than an of betrayal of Muslim women in particular.

If you want to see the actions of a more vigorous Christianity expressed in British politics I suggest you look on further than Baroness Caroline Cox. A fearless campaigner for the oppressed throughout the world. She has often taken aid personally to Christians in war torn Southern Sudan. She has been instrumental in releasing Africans taken in slavery by Muslim slavers, and she publically advocates for Christians throughout the world suffering violent persecution.
She has recently introduced a bill that would prevent discrimination against British Muslim women in Sharia courts.
