Dean sweeps election

Our Dean, Peter Beck has won the election to a seat on our City Council. His farewell function is Sunday 19th February. I am very pleased for him.

Good News about Peter Beck being elected to the City Council.

In the midst of the present contretemps, one hopes that Peter's (albeit anonymous) priestly presence will help to bring change for the better - in terms of the human relationships involved.

Also, who knows? He might be able to help with some decision on the erection of a new cathedral.

In other election news, new bishops for Edinburgh (a shame our vicar Mike Parker wasn't elected, but great that we'll enjoy his ministry for a while longer) and North West Australia (largest Anglican diocese by landmass in the world I understand):
