I'm very fortunate, being 'retired' and having time to listen to music on the web. My pick for this week: the last 2 items; Mozart and 'Worship Central'. Two very different musical experiences but both heart-warming and beautiful.
Thanks, Peter and your correspondent.

Thanks Peter+ - I agree with Father Ron. In particular I thought the song at #15 from Worship Central in New Zealand was lovely. The lyrics are not complicated, but if you like that sort of thing, and I do, the melody was great. I am not sure where this is from, possibly Auckland [St Paul's?] but they are producing some fine songs.

Hi All

While we are enjoying songs I was fortunate enough to hear Malcolm Gordon NZ Singer/Minister/Songwriter speak and play on Sunday. He wrote the following song for the 200 year gospel celebration. Pretty good I thought.

Beneath the Southern Cross

Blessings
Jean

Thanks for that Jean, great, and all to the beat of the drum and the skirl of the pipes.

One tiny moment of discomfort in the Nicky Gumbel (of ALPHA fame) video that comes with 'Worship Central's web-site, was when he was sitting with the 2 local worship leaders, Tim and his wife, and gave this advice to the gathered assembly" "Hitch your wagon to a star". He then called Tim and partner 'STARS' - telling everyone to 'follow them". I thought they should be following Christ - rather than the worship leader-stars!

Apart from that little blooper, all seemed well - especially with the accent on worship, as being the way in which to enter God's presence.

I agree that there is only one star we should be following - anything else is just star-gazing.
