Thursday in Holy Week

How Wonderful How Marvellous (lyrics by Chris Tomlin) - several versions to listen to ... a bit of classic country, Welsh congregational, Jason Eaton, and this brass band!

I stand amazed in the presence
Of Jesus the Nazarene,

And wonder how He could love me,

A sinner, condemned, unclean.

Chorus:

O how marvelous! O how wonderful!

And my song shall ever be:

O how marvelous! O how wonderful!

Is my Savior's love for me!

He took my sins and my sorrows,

He made them His very own;

He bore the burden to Calvary,

And suffered and died alone.

When with the ransomed in glory

His face I at last shall see,

’Twill be my joy through the ages

To sing of His love for me.

A few bonus tracks: Let's Go Down to the River to Pray, How Great is our God, I could sing of your love forever.

All very good and proper. However, I feel you just can't beat the Holy Week liturgies for 'atmosphere.

Tonight, at SMAA for instance:

Mass of the Last Supper.

Foot-Washing (Choir singing the traditional 'New Commandment' and other chants.

Followed by the All Night watch at the altar of Repose.
